  • COMMUNITY OUTREACH DIRECTOR:
    Principal Responsibilities
    1. Manage, grow and develop partnerships with public and private sector
    2. Manages constituent relations, as it relates to Black LGBTQ+ persons
    3. Helps to assure that CBP’s strategic vision is radically inclusive
    4.Attend relative community events, neighborhood meetings, rallies, sponsor/stakeholder events and the like
    5.Build relationships with community-based organizations and stakeholders to develop strategies that strengthen Charlotte’s Black LGBTQ+ community
    6.Team Lead for the Senior, Teen/Young Adult and Transgender Community Liaisons
    7.Performs other duties as requested by Exec Board.
  • SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST/DIRECTOR
    1. Responsible for publishing posts through our social media channels advertising upcoming CBP sponsored or co-sponsored events.
    2. Posting pictures and live video from events.
    3. Posting any relative local, regional, or national information to foster community engagement
    4. Monitor Charlotte Black Pride Social groups.
    5. Respond to pertinent social media comments as needed.
    6. Social Media Specialist works closely with our communications director to help strengthen the CBP brand.

  • SENIOR COMMIUNITY LIAISON:
    CHARLOTTE BLACK PRIDE (CBP) recognizes the growing population of senior citizens in our community,
    the particular demands placed on them as they manage their daily lives and the immeasurable value they bring to the LGBTQ+ experience. Most Seniors have worked hard their whole lives to provide for their families
    and deserve to be embraced by the community in their golden years.
    CBP is committed to developing special programming and leadership opportunities for our beloved senior citizens. The Senior Community Liaison is to act as the organizations link to all Black LGBTQ+ senior citizens living in our community and will assemble an Advisory Committee of Black LGBTQ+ seniors to serve as a Senior Advisory Committee. Senior Citizens are those 65 years old & up.

  • TEEN/YOUNG ADULT LIAISON:
    Principal Responsibilities
    1. Coordinates and manages programs for Black LGBTQ+ Teens and Young Adults (13 - 35 year olds)
    2. Manages constituent relations, as it relates to Black LGBTQ+ Teens and Young Adults
    3. Helps to assure that CBP’s strategic vision includes and addresses the needs of Black LGBTQ+ Teens and Young Adults
    4. Performs other duties as requested by Exec. Board or/and Community Outreach Director
  • TRANSGENDER COMMUNITY LIAISON:
    Principal Responsibilities
    1. Coordinates and manages programs for Black LGBTQ+ persons who identify as
    Transgender and Gender Variant
    2. Manages constituent relations, as it relates to Black LGBTQ+ persons who identify as
    Transgender and Gender Variant
    3. Helps to assure that CBP’s strategic vision includes and addresses the needs of Black LGBTQ+ persons who identify as Transgender and Gender Variant
    4. Performs other duties as requested by Exec. Board or/and Community Outreach Director

Charlotte Black Pride

 

Charlotte Black Pride, a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit corporation, is an organization consisting of volunteers interested in promoting a positive image of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, intersex or asexual (LGBTQIA) gendered entities of color.

Charlotte Black Pride is an independent, non-partisan body not subject to the control or significant influence of any commercial establishment or organization.

Mission

   The Mission of Charlotte Black Pride is to promote LGBTQIA pride primarily for, but not limited to, members of the Black community while building social awareness, embracing spirituality and celebrating the diversity that exists within our community.   

Vision

  The vision of Charlotte Black Pride is to empower the hearts, minds and spirits of all LGBTQIA people, while embracing diversity, uplifting the community, and working to bring social change.
